What is a "floor beam"?
First of all, this is an indicator that projects a so-called “beam” onto the floor.
- The first generation of this option was a regular dot of red, blue or green, which was lit while the PMM was working, the backlight turned off at the end of the cycle.
- In the second generation, the beam began to change its color. So, for example, while the machine is working, the beam glows red, at the end of the cycle it glows green (colors may be different).
- The latest generation has become more innovative, and the time remaining until the end of the program began to be projected on the floor. Cars with such an indicator are usually the most high-tech and equipped with other interesting options.
How the beam works in a dishwasher
Modern dishwashers operate almost silently, especially for devices built into kitchen furniture. To notify the user about the end of the program, the designers came up with the “Beam on the floor” function.
beam on the floor in the dishwasher
The operating principle of the indicator that projects light has undergone transformations over time:
- Initially, the image was a dot of red, green or blue. During the dishwasher's operating cycle, it was on, and after finishing, it disappeared.
- Then the light beam began to change color. For example, a red dot visible while the machine was running turned green after the wash was completed.
- In the latest generation of high-tech dishwashers, an image of the time remaining until the end of the cycle is projected onto the floor.
