We first published such an article two years ago - and, despite a fairly rich selection of smartphones, we still had to squirm around like a snake to find good options that meet the main condition: the smartphone must be compatible with LTE networks. Now it’s the other way around: to find a device that works exclusively with 3G, you have to try very hard, and the suffering associated with the slowness of cheap hardware platforms can, if not be eliminated, then at least be moderated. Progress is inevitable – as is the invasion of Chinese brands.
However, our selection also includes brands that are not exactly Chinese. There is also a choice in terms of preference for certain characteristics. Do you want more memory? Or a more or less decent camera? Or maybe a large display? There are options. Another thing is that it is almost impossible to combine all this by paying 10 thousand rubles or less. Although, again, the key word is “almost.” Go!
⇡#Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus
- Operating system: Android 7.1.2 Nougat (MIUI proprietary shell).
- Display: 6.0 inches, IPS, 2160 × 1080.
- Platform: Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 MSM8953 (eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 2 GHz).
- RAM: 3/4 GB.
- Flash memory: 32/64 GB.
- Camera: 12 MP.
- Two SIM cards, the second slot is combined with a slot for a memory card.
- Fingerprint's scanner.
- Average price: from 9,000 rubles for the 32 GB version (gray). from 13,000 rubles (official).
Why you should buy: large Full HD display, metal body, excellent performance, decent camera.
What can stop it: not always stable quality, unofficial supplies (at a low price), no NFC.
We start with the main character of the collection, for whom the word “almost” was used. This is, of course, the Redmi smartphone, which manages to combine good performance (a similar platform is installed in other smartphones for 25 thousand), a decent camera, a metal body with a fingerprint scanner and a fashionable elongated display with Full HD resolution with a diagonal of six inches. Essentially, a gentleman's set for a modern smartphone of any level. It’s comfortable to use, it’s not a shame to put it on the table (or even vice versa - in certain circles you will be considered one of your own due to your intelligence and frugality), and the shortcomings are not noticeable.
But they also exist. To fully enter the club, there is not enough NFC, support for the 20th LTE band and, of course, official status. You have to buy in China or from “gray” suppliers - and don’t rely on a guarantee. The main thing is to check that it is a global version and not a Chinese one, then you won’t need to reflash it.
Alternative: Xiaomi Redmi 6 A. This is an official version on the same topic - newer (with Android 8.0), with a smaller screen (5.45 inches) and “thinner” (1440 × 720), as well as with a weaker platform (Mediatek Helio A22), but without the danger of running into problems for the Chinese version. Another obvious hit, doomed to success in our (and not only) market.
Vivo Y81
- Operating system: Android 8.0 Oreo (proprietary Funtouch OS shell).
- Display: 6.2 inches, IPS, 1520 × 720.
- Platform: MediaTek Helio P22 (eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 2 GHz).
- RAM: 3 GB.
- Flash memory: 32 GB.
- Camera: 13 MP.
- Dual SIM cards, memory card slot.
- Average price: 9,700 rubles.
Why you should buy: a very large display, small frames and a fashionable (albeit slightly ridiculous due to the notch) design, official supplies.
What can stop it: no fingerprint scanner or NFC, plastic case.
The victory in the “Debut of the Year” nomination goes to a longtime guest of all kinds of top sales - Vivo. Previously, the company was there solely for its domestic merits in China, but now it has finally begun its global expansion. There hasn't been much success with middle-class smartphones yet, but in the budget segment the offer with the Y81 looks very nice. This is not the most powerful, but probably the most fashionable smartphone for the money. The display is huge, but with a low resolution for its 6.2 inches. The body is thin, but plastic. There is no fingerprint scanner. But there is a lot of both RAM and non-volatile memory.
In principle, the Vivo Y81 is made of similar compromises, but the positive qualities in it, in my opinion, outweigh the negative ones. And there is an excellent bonus - the smartphone is officially sold in Russia, the price indicated is “white”. No orders from China or dancing with the firmware.
Alternative: Alcatel 3 V. Another smartphone with a large display - in this case, six inches and without a monobrow, but with Full HD resolution. Another nice compromise option: in this case you will have to sacrifice performance - the Mediatek MT8735 platform does not shine at all. And the memory is no longer 3/32 GB, but 2/16 GB. But there is a fingerprint scanner.
Honor 7A Pro
- Operating system: Android 8.0 Oreo (EMUI proprietary shell).
- Display: 5.7 inches, IPS, 1440 × 720.
- Platform: Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores [4 × 1.4 GHz + 4 × 1.1 GHz]).
- RAM: 2 GB.
- Flash memory: 16 GB.
- Camera: 13 MP.
- Two SIM cards and a separate slot for a memory card.
- Fingerprint's scanner.
- Average price: 8,990 rubles.
Why you should buy: well-known brand, official supplies.
What can stop it: generally not brilliant characteristics, plastic body, no NFC.
A pleasant smartphone in almost all respects: with the current version of Android and, probably, the fastest shell for it, with a very good design (even with a plastic body), a fingerprint scanner and a good brand reputation - it’s more difficult to run into defects when buying Honor than, for example, when choosing Xiaomi. The lack of flash memory is compensated by a microSD memory card placed in a separate slot.
But if you are not a “huafan” (yes, that’s the official name of fans of the brand), then this offer will not seem so tempting to you - it’s difficult to prefer the 7A Pro to the same Redmi 5 Plus. But with Redmi 6A, which is also officially sold at a similar price, it competes quite well in the same category. Which of these two devices to choose is already a debatable question, and I will not undertake to answer it directly.
Alternative: Honor 7 A. The same cabbage soup, but pour in thinner. The screen is smaller, the design is more primitive, the Mediatek platform is one and a half thousand cheaper.
Xiaomi Redmi 6A 2/32GB – the king of budget phones
The second place is occupied by the Chinese Xiaomi Redmi 6A, which boasts its extremely low cost of 6 thousand rubles with pleasant characteristics. Feature - the smartphone is available in six colors.
operating system | Android |
Display | Diagonal 5.5 inches, 16 million colors |
Camera | Front – 5 MP, Rear – 13 MP |
CPU | Quad-core MediaTek Helio A22, 2000 MHz |
RAM | 2 GB |
Inner memory | 32 GB |
Micro SD slot | Yes, maximum 256 GB |
Battery | 3000 mAh |
Connection | 3G, LTE |
Navigation | Glonass, GPS |
Dual SIM support | Eat |
NFC module | Eat |
Fingerprint's scanner | Absent |
This smartphone has a lot of advantages:
- High performance, the phone can easily run many applications and games at the same time;
- Good selfie camera, which is indistinguishable in quality from the rear one;
- Video recording with excellent stabilization;
- Affordable price that will suit everyone; you don’t need to take out loans, etc. to purchase.
The disadvantages include:
- Inability to save application and game data to external media, that is, only files (documents, photos, music) can be downloaded to a Micro SD card, but applications cannot be stored on cards;
- Lack of fingerprint scanner;
- A small number of accessories that can be purchased locally at your place of residence. To purchase a case or protective glass for the screen, you often have to turn to Aliexpress.
For your money, the phone is a great option. Of course, this model is not very suitable for those who like to play or take photographs, but it copes with the main tasks with a bang.
⇡#Moto G5s
- Operating system: Android 7.1 Nougat.
- Display: 5.2 inches, IPS, 1920 × 1080.
- Platform: Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 (eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores [4 × 1.4 GHz + 4 × 1.1 GHz]).
- RAM: 3 GB.
- Flash memory: 32 GB.
- Camera: 16 MP.
- Dual SIM cards, memory card slot.
- Fingerprint's scanner.
- Average price: from 9,500 rubles.
Why it’s worth buying: original design, excellent build, good camera, pure Android, NFC.
What can stop it: the performance is quite ordinary, the display is a bit small by today's standards.
The shadow favorite of the rating is last year’s smartphone from the Lenovo/Motorola combination, which is going through hard times. One of the conditional exceptions to the Chinese trend. Conditional - because Lenovo, which owns the Moto brand, is a Chinese company. Exceptions - because both in philosophy and in approach this is not a typical smartphone for China. Quite ordinary characteristics here are combined with original ideas in the interface, and the metal case did not interfere with installing NFC in this gadget. Yes, you can use it to pay for purchases - this is a very rare option for cheap phones.
In terms of approach to design and dimensions, this is more like a smartphone from 2016: a small 16:9 screen with large frames and a fingerprint scanner underneath. But its resolution is Full HD. In terms of pixel density, no one can really argue with the Moto G5s. And yes, of course, this is pure Android!
Alternative: Elephone P9000. But this, to be honest, is a dubious alternative on formal grounds. A little-known brand with unstable product quality - but with 4 GB of RAM, NFC and a not very large Full HD display.
The best inexpensive smartphones of 2021
Advanced features now available at reasonable prices
Since last year, 18:9 aspect ratio screens and dual cameras have become major trends in the mobile technology industry. New trends have affected models of all price categories, and companies like Apple have actively introduced innovations to get ahead, such as the frameless display on the iPhone X.
Manufacturers of budget models have also tried to keep up with trends: examples include the Xiaomi Mi A1 with a dual camera, as well as the LG Q6a M700 and Honor 7X - both models are equipped with 18:9 screens.
Thanks to this, buyers with a budget of 8,000 to 15,000 rubles now have access to a huge selection of smartphones. In our list we have given several examples of high-quality and productive, but at the same time budget models that are relevant for 2018.
Xiaomi Redmi 5
⇡#Nokia 3.1
- Operating system: Android 8.0 Oreo.
- Display: 5.2 inches, IPS, 1440 × 720.
- Platform: MediaTek MT6750N (eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of 1.5 GHz).
- RAM: 2/3 GB.
- Flash memory: 16/32 GB.
- Camera: 13 MP.
- Dual SIM cards, memory card slot.
- Average price: 9,000 rubles for the 16 GB version.
Why you should buy: famous brand, nice design, NFC, pure Android.
What can stop it: a simple filling, a low-resolution display.
But this is a real “alternative” to the Moto G5s located above - with a small screen, NFC and from the legendary brand. The characteristics, however, are even less attractive, especially in the 2/16 GB version, and only this one falls into the designated price segment.
Due to the latest version of pure Android (and quickly updated), the “damage” from a weak hardware platform is reduced - using Nokia 3.1 will be moderately pleasant. This feeling is reinforced by a very nice design, due to which, in fact, the smartphone made it into our rating.
Alternative: Sony Xperia L1 . Instead of a completely fresh Nokia, there’s last year’s budget Xperia. The exchange, at first glance, is so-so, but in essence they are very similar: the platform of the Sony smartphone is even weaker, it has the same amount of permanent memory and RAM. And there is about the same amount of charm: L1 has preserved the traditions of the brand, this is the very “building block” that Xperia was for many years in a row - and which it ceased to be quite recently.
The best budget smartphones of September 2021 (official retail)
There are very few honest budget smartphones that you can use without disgust. It’s easier to find a good “senior budget employee” from previous years, which is now being sold at a minimal price. For example, if you see a Motorola G5s or Samsung Galaxy J7 Neo (nee J7 2016) on sale for 10 thousand rubles, buy it. In these times, this is a profitable purchase. Motorola G5s is good in itself and is comparable in quality to new smartphones for 15 thousand rubles. And the old Samsung is no longer particularly fast, but it is eight-core, with a normal screen, very durable and hardy, and even with a removable battery and separate 2xSIM and microSD slots. And even in old age, it is better than modern “buckets” like the Galaxy J2 (2018) or Nokia 3.1, for which traders ask the same exorbitant 9-10 thousand rubles.
Only the sale of old smartphones at the lowest price is just that, the sale ends quickly. And we Russians, as everyone knows, love stability very much, and we need an option suitable for purchase for a stable 7-9 thousand rubles. This time I consider the Xiaomi Redmi 6A to be such an option.
Its path to sale, by the way, was, friends, neither easy nor quick - at first the new ultra-budget Xiaomi... almost no one wanted to sell. The guys from the local Xiaomi representative office wanted to keep the price in all stores at about 7-7.5 thousand rubles, but for Russian networkers this threatened a very small profit from the sale. If this continues, then regional directors of cellular showrooms will be forced to switch from Porsche to Toyota, and this cannot be allowed!
Therefore, to begin with, Xiaomi agreed on the sale of Redmi 6A by fellow Chinese from TMall (the Russian branch of Aliexpress with warehouses in the Russian Federation), then they bargained with the store of their own distributor, but did not come to an agreement, and hastily opened sales “first-hand” on Mi .com for Russia.
And only after that Xiaomi came to a compromise with Russian networkers - they let the price in Russian retail float freely, and businessmen from our native cell phone stores stopped getting hysterical and demanding to “equalize” the price in the Xiaomi store with the one that Russian outbids set yourself after extra charges.
But all this is politics and a war for profit in one pocket or another, and we are interested in the technical side of the question: is Redmi 6A really the best among state employees under 10 thousand rubles?
⇡#Meizu M6s
- Operating system: Android 7.1.2 Nougat (proprietary Flyme OS shell).
- Display: 5.7 inches, IPS, 1440 × 720.
- Platform: Samsung Exynos 7872 (two ARM Cortex-A73 cores at 2.0 GHz, four ARM Cortex-A53 cores at 1.6 GHz).
- RAM: 3 GB.
- Flash memory: 32 GB.
- Camera: 16 MP.
- Dual SIM cards, memory card slot.
- Fingerprint's scanner.
- Average price: from 9,600 rubles (unofficial deliveries). 13,900 rubles (official deliveries).
Why you should buy: Excellent performance, metal body.
What can stop it: there is no NFC, for less than ten thousand you can only find smartphones supplied through unofficial channels.
In the current family of inexpensive Meizu models, the devil himself will break his leg - there are a lot of M6 variations: Note, T, just M6. Here we will focus on perhaps the most competitive version s. It attracts primarily with its hardware platform: Samsung Exynos 7872 is a serious thing. If you like to play something demanding, then you should seriously pay attention to the Meizu M6s, especially since the RAM is not bad here either.
And what can stop you is already stated above. Alas, the “official” M6s is noticeably more expensive. The story is the same as with Redmi 5 Plus, with which it can compete in terms of performance and design (the blue version is good), but to which it is inferior in terms of screen (both diagonal and resolution are smaller). The cameras are approximately equal.
Alternative: Meizu M6 Note . A smartphone that meets our price conditions with even greater difficulty - and stands out primarily for its camera, Full HD display and very good battery life. The combination of a 5.5-inch panel and a 4000 mAh battery is excellent!
Meizu M5 Note 16GB
The cost of this 5.5-inch smartphone from Meizu is 10-14 thousand rubles. Why such difference? Apparently, it depends on the seller’s markup. However, this also applies to most smartphones from other companies, so don’t be surprised.
Meizu M5 Note primarily stands out for its body. So, it is not just metal, but also solid monolithic, that is, the back part consists entirely of metal. The smartphone looks very cool - laconic and stylish, and in all available shades.
The display resolution is 1920x1080 pixels, the processor is MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755), 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory, which can be increased via a memory card slot. The battery capacity is similar to competitors - 4000 mAh.
There is a fingerprint scanner, as well as such an important thing for many as the fast charging function.
- Screen diagonal: 5.5 inches
- Screen resolution: 1920×1080
- Weight: 175 g
- Number of SIM cards: 2
- Processor: MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755)
- Memory capacity: 16 GB
- RAM capacity: 3 GB
- Battery capacity: 4000 mAh
- Camera: 13 MP
- Memory card support: yes
- Support for 4G networks: yes
⇡#Samsung Galaxy J4 (2018)
- Operating system: Android 8.0 Oreo (proprietary shell).
- Display: 5.5 inches, AMOLED, 1280 × 720.
- Platform: Samsung Exynos 7570 (four ARM Cortex-A53 cores with a frequency of 1.4 GHz).
- RAM: 2 GB.
- Flash memory: 16 GB.
- Camera: 13 MP.
- Dual SIM cards, memory card slot.
- Average price: 9,200 rubles.
Why you should buy: famous brand, AMOLED display.
What can stop it: mediocre performance, no fingerprint scanner or NFC, plastic case.
This option is strictly for fans of Samsung or very famous brands in general – as well as for those who know a lot about mobile displays. In this category, almost no one puts AMOLED in their smartphones (almost - because see the alternative below). But only the Korean god of marketing knows why Samsung doesn’t put an NFC module in its budget models. The Chinese at least have an effective explanation - in the Celestial Empire it is simply not needed, all mobile payments there are made using QR codes. But the Koreans have marketing, marketing and more marketing. If you want a cheap phone, be patient.
As a bonus, the front camera here is equipped with a flash, and the main aperture is ƒ/1.9. A record for this collection.
Alternative: Highscreen Fest Pro . We sacrifice a big name and get another smartphone with a screen based on organic light-emitting diodes. The diagonal, however, is five inches - now this can only cause attacks of nostalgia. In terms of performance, the Fest Pro is comparable to the Galaxy J4 (2018), but it has more memory – 3/32 GB. And it is also 2,500 rubles cheaper.
Honor 9 Lite
Huawei is breathing down Samsung's neck in the ranking in terms of the number of smartphones produced, and this is not at all surprising - the Chinese corporation sometimes produces excellent devices at an adequate price. One of these is Honor 9 Lite. Like other smartphones of this sub-brand, Honor 9 Lite is available in bright colors. However, the device does not look like a gadget for teenagers thanks to the glass back panel, which adds elegance to the smartphone. There are no frankly weak parts in the filling - everything is well balanced.
Technical characteristics of Honor 9 Lite:
- Display: 5.65 inches, IPS, 2160x1080 pixels (aspect ratio - 18:9).
- Processor: Huawei Kirin 659, 8 cores with a clock frequency of up to 2.36 GHz.
- RAM: 3 GB.
- User memory: 32 GB.
- Main camera: 13 + 2 MP.
- Front camera: 13 + 2 MP.
- Battery: 3,000 mAh.
- Operating system: Android 8.0 Oreo with EMUI 8.0 shell.
- 3.5 mm headphone jack: yes.
- NFC chip: yes.
- Support for two SIM cards: yes.
- Dimensions: 151×71.9×7.6 mm.
- Weight: 149 grams.
- Colors: black, blue, gray, white.
- Price: $162 (10,650 rubles).
⇡#ASUS Zenfone Max Plus (M1)
- Operating system: Android 7.0 Nougat (proprietary ZenUI shell).
- Display: 5.7 inches, IPS, 2160 × 1080.
- Platform: Mediatek MT6750T (eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores (4 × 1.5 GHz + 4 × 1.0 GHz)).
- RAM: 3 GB.
- Flash memory: 32 GB.
- Camera: 16 + 8 MP.
- Two SIM cards and a separate slot for a memory card.
- Fingerprint's scanner.
- Average price: from 9,700 rubles.
Why it’s worth buying: excellent battery life, good dual camera, metal body, Full HD display.
What can stop it: no NFC, thick body, mediocre performance.
Come on, it's cheaper! Since January, when we reviewed the ASUS Zenfone Max Plus (M1), the smartphone has dropped up to six thousand rubles and fit exactly within the scope of our “Guide”. For this money, the offer is really excellent. First of all, due to a really decent camera (perhaps the best among those presented here) and a powerful battery, the smartphone is quite capable of lasting a couple of days without recharging.
It doesn't shine, but it has enough memory. It’s especially pleasing that the proposed 32 GB can be expanded using a microSD card without sacrificing a second SIM card. There are few such devices today.
Alternative: BQ BQ-5510 Strike Power Max 4 G. There are no more frills here like a Full HD display or dual camera. Only autonomy and cheapness, only hardcore. 5000 milliamp-hours is half that of the ever-memorable Oukitel K10000, but Strike Power uses them much more efficiently. And the quality is much more stable.
ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 review
A few years ago, many began to write off ASUS's mobile division because the company produced unremarkable gadgets at expensive prices. Apparently, the Taiwanese corporation realized this and changed its approach to the production of smartphones. ZenFone Max Pro (M1) is one of the new products released as part of the updated ASUS strategy. The device will easily satisfy the requirements of the average user, since it is equipped with a good processor, a huge battery and good cameras. Only the basic version of ZenFone Max Pro (M1) with 3/32 GB memory falls into the category of budget smartphones, but even it is an excellent representative of mobile devices in the low price segment.
Technical characteristics of ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1):
- Display: 6 inches, IPS, 2160x1080 pixels (aspect ratio - 18:9).
- Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 636, 8 cores with a clock speed of up to 1.8 GHz.
- RAM: 3 GB.
- User memory: 32 GB.
- Main camera: 13 + 5 MP.
- Front camera: 8 MP.
- Battery: 5,000 mAh.
- Operating system: “pure” Android 8.1 Oreo (without a shell from the manufacturer).
- 3.5 mm headphone jack: yes.
- NFC chip: yes.
- Support for two SIM cards: yes.
- Dimensions: 159×76×8.45 mm.
- Weight: 180 grams.
- Colors: silver, blue, dark blue.
- Price: $189 (12,400 rubles).
⇡#HOMTOM S8
- Operating system: Android 7.0 Nougat.
- Display: 5.7 inches, 1440 × 720.
- Platform: Mediatek MT6750T (eight ARM Cortex-A53 cores [4 × 1.5 GHz + 4 × 1.0 GHz]).
- RAM: 4 GB.
- Flash memory: 64 GB.
- Camera: 16 + 5 MP.
- Two SIM cards (nano-SIM + micro-SIM), memory card slot.
- Fingerprint's scanner.
- Average price: 9,500 rubles.
Why it’s worth buying: the design is almost like the Samsung Galaxy S8, full of memory, dual camera.
What can stop you: unstable quality, mediocre performance, unofficial supplies, no NFC.
What kind of rating is this without a noname brand offering an “inexpensive copy of the flagship.” In this case, the Samsung Galaxy S8 was a carbon copy, only without the bent edges. Yes, we are absolutely sure that there are no edges. No, don’t pay attention to the renderings - these are Chinese. But the screen is really large, and there’s really a lot of memory - 4/64 GB.
If you love this kind of stuff and don’t disdain unofficial supplies and unknown brands, you’re welcome.
Alternative : Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime and Ulefone Mix . There are two alternatives here. Another Redmi, simple and weak, but with a ton of memory. And another smartphone from a well-known brand in narrow circles - with a design like Mi MIX and the same amount of memory. Game, yes, but game worthy of attention.
Samsung Galaxy J4+ (2018) 3/32GB – long-lived from 2021
Samsung Galaxy J4+ with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is a smartphone that was released in 2021 but is still very popular. This phone features high performance at a relatively low price; you can buy such a model for 9-11 thousand rubles. This budget device from the Korean company Samsung is available in two colors - black and gold, the body is made of plastic.
operating system | Android |
Display | Diagonal 6 inches, 16 million colors |
Camera | Front – 5 MP, Rear – 13 MP |
CPU | 4-core, 1400 MHz |
RAM | 2 GB |
Inner memory | 32 GB |
Micro SD slot | Yes, maximum 512 GB |
Battery | 3300 mAh |
Connection | 3G, LTE |
Navigation | Glonass, GPS |
Dual SIM support | Eat |
NFC module | Eat |
Fingerprint's scanner | Absent |
Users include the following main advantages of the model:
- Pleasant ergonomics, the phone fits well in the hand and does not slip;
- Capacious battery, with average use the phone will last 30 hours without charging;
- There are many accessories on the domestic market; you can easily find cases, glasses and protective films for this model;
- The presence of a face unlock function, which is convenient in the cold when you don’t want to take off your gloves to unlock the screen.
Flaws:
- Low power for gaming enthusiasts. The processor is not suitable for gamers, but this Samsung launches popular applications quickly;
- Lack of a fingerprint scanner, which is installed on devices from other manufacturers in the same price segment.
Thus, the model is quite good, suitable for people who do not often use their phones. However, for the same money you can buy a more powerful device with many functions.
DOOGEE Shoot 2 - an inexpensive smartphone with a good camera
Inexpensive smartphone with a good camera Doogee Shoot 2
A smartphone under 5,000 rubles with a good camera is out of the realm of fantasy. At best, ultra-low-budgeters get cameras that shoot during the day at the “Well, that’s fine” level. However, some Chinese manufacturers manage to equip their entry-level devices with dual cameras. The DOOGEE Shoot 2 smartphone became such a device.
The device has a nice design. The plastic case successfully imitates metal. If you don’t remove the cover and look at the inside, you’ll never guess that the “back” of the phone is plastic. The front panel is completely covered with 2.5D glass. The screen is of surprisingly decent quality: viewing angles are good, contrast is high, colors are bright and rich.
The phone turned out to be quite thick and weighty, which has a positive effect on ergonomics - holding the device is comfortable, there is no fear of dropping it.
- The hardware is based on the MediaTek MT6580 chipset, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The processor performance is average; in multitasking mode it noticeably decreases.
- The main camera is double, represented by modules with a resolution of 5 megapixels. The device supports bokeh mode, but only in the form of a simple blurring of the edges of the frame. During the day, the pictures are of acceptable quality. The front camera is 5 megapixel.
- One of the advantages of the smartphone is Android 7.0 in almost its original form without unnecessary software and unnecessary “embellishments”.
- A 3360 mAh battery is responsible for the autonomous operation of the smartphone. Considering the energy-efficient processor, Doogee Shoot 2 lasts for a day and a half in moderate use.
- The average price of a phone is 5,380 rubles.
