Rating of 3 in 1 DVRs
When compiling the review, our team was guided by consultants from stores selling DVRs from different manufacturers. We tested the most purchased products this year on a number of indicators:
- Shooting quality;
- Viewing angle;
- Radar detection efficiency;
- Set of options;
- Mounting method;
- Design, ergonomics;
- Price, manufacturer's reputation.
The result of the comparative analysis was a top list of 12 nominees. We divided them into 3 subsections - 5 inexpensive, 4 mid-priced and 3 premium gadgets. Reviews of car owners identified the strengths and weaknesses of each and weeded out equipment of dubious quality.
Results
Today, the market for video recorders, radar detectors and combined devices is at the stage of saturation: many car owners have already acquired such devices and have been successfully using them for a long time, and new models are not so significantly different from previous ones that they need to upgrade every 2-3 years. as is customary in the world of smartphones.
Those who are just preparing to buy a DVR, radar detector or combined device are in a completely comfortable situation.
If we exclude from the comparison ultra-budget models with unknown functionality and unknown quality (usually purchased on some Aliexpress), then among the “serious” manufacturers of such devices there is clear parity - devices of the same type and approximately the same class cost approximately the same money .
Thanks to this, each user can make a choice without any problems - decide for himself whether he is ready to be satisfied with a junior model with minimal functionality, or prefers to overpay a little and get a more comfortable and more “smart” device.
At the same time, as we see, the most popular devices turned out to be those that shoot in Full HD resolution: apparently, the time for 4K has not yet come, and the average consumer is not ready to overpay for better quality video where it is not at all necessary.
As for all kinds of innovations, in most cases it consists of the release of new firmware and databases, as well as the introduction of additional functions that help the user and facilitate the daily operation of the device.
This situation is unlikely to please those who like to update their fleet of home (or car) electronics every couple of years.
But those who want to buy a device and use it for a long time will certainly be satisfied. Modern automotive electronics from the Playme brand will remain relevant for many years to come, and the issue of upgrading or purchasing a new device due to the obsolescence of the previous one will not arise soon.
