Is the coolest mirrorless camera cooler than the coolest DSLR camera? It depends on many factors - the size of the matrix, the model’s firmware, and so on. But at the moment, DSLR cameras are often superior in functionality and shooting quality to mirrorless cameras. However, judging by how quickly mirrorless cameras are developing, this ratio will soon change.

Why is there no zoom ratio in the description of mirrorless cameras? Zoom ratio does not directly relate to the camera. This is a functionality of the lens. Zoom ratio is the ability of the lens to change the focal length, and if necessary, you can calculate it yourself.

Is it possible to choose an inexpensive mirrorless camera so that it takes better pictures than a top-end smartphone? Not a single, even the most “advanced” smartphone can produce photographs of the same quality as mirrorless cameras. There are many criteria according to which cameras on smartphones simply do not reach the parameters of a camera. And the presence of optical lenses in the latter negates all the capabilities of smartphones in photography. However, a lot depends on what hands these devices fall into. Why you should buy a mirrorless camera rather than a DSLR

First of all, it’s worth deciding how “mirrorless cameras” differ from “DSLRs”. It's simple: for the latter, the viewfinder works using a mirror. With its help you can see a real picture, not yet digitized. But “mirrorless cameras” do not have such a viewfinder - it is electronic or is not provided at all, that is, a screen is used instead.

Let us note right away that mirrorless cameras are most often smaller in size, therefore, taking them on trips or just for a walk is much more convenient. They also weigh less. Don’t think that an electronic viewfinder is somehow worse: it has its advantages, for example, it can display additional useful information, and it is also better suited for nearsighted people.
