After installing the codec, a player will be available that will allow you to easily not only play various videos, but also access sound settings. Especially for this case, it will be enough to use the Play-Filter-FFDshow setting. In it you will be able to fine-tune all the parameters and controls related to sound; to do this, you will just need to use the Volume item.

IMPORTANT! To actively use and adjust sound parameters, you will need to check the box next to Volume.

Audio driver problem

One possible cause, as the name suggests, is the audio device driver. After all, many failures and malfunctions in PC operation are directly related to outdated or inappropriate drivers.

If your sound system or speakers start to sound quiet, including all applications and system sounds, it's time to update your sound device drivers.

1. Open "Device Manager". Start → Control Panel → Device Manager. For Windows 8 and 10, press Win + X and select “Device Manager”.
2. Expand the items “Sound, game and video devices”.

Then you just need to go to your default playback device. In it you need to select the Enhancements tab, where subsequently you just need to select the equalizer. By amplifying frequencies you can increase the sound volume.

Cleaning speakers from dirt and dust

If suddenly, after changing all the parameters, the sound becomes much quieter, then you should turn off all the parameters and leave only the loudness compensation.
